Safety Brakes
The SITEMA Safety Brake type KSP is designed to hold a vertical moved mass in one direction （against gravity）. The holding is done on a round shaft. This could be an already existing cylinder rod or a separate rod. The Safety Catcher can also be used to catch the falling load in case of an emergency-stop. The holding force is relatively big in one direction （downwards） and in the other direction （upwards） relatively small.Safety brakes are already used in the following applications
- vertical or diagonal machine tool axes
- vertical axes of loaders
